GHS Saring and Khulazu Basa celebrate 100% HSLC success

DIMAPUR, JUNE 4 (MExN): The students of Government High School Saring and Government Hiogh School Khulazu Basa were honoured for their success in the recent board exams. Both schools had achieved 100 percent pass percentage in the HSLC exams 2023.

Government High school, Saring organised a thanksgiving and felicitation ceremony on June 1 at the school campus to acknowledge and applaud the achievements of all the successful candidates who had cleared the HSLC Examination 2023 and brought laurels to the school.

Sentinenla, DEO Mokokchung; N Orenthung Kikon, EAC Longchem; Imkongwapang, Asst District Coordinator SAMAGRA; students' leader from Japukong and Saringyim; Saringyim Village council members, Church leaders and parents were among the gathering who graced the event. 

In her speech, the DEO congratulated the students and teachers for securing 100% pass in HSLC for the past 5 years, which she remarked is a great achievement. She added that the success of the school was because of the passionate teachers working in the school, the support from the community and the hard work of the students.

While congratulating the teachers and the students, The EAC further said that the mind is the only thing that limits people, and encouraged the students to never forget what they can achieve if they put their mind to it.

Imkongyapang, Teacher-in-charge of the school narrated the journey of the school over the last five years. He also gave credit to the Church leaders for organizing the dedication prayer program for the students every year, SMDC and Village council for their material and financial support.

Jamir also thanked the parents for their care and support and congratulated the successful students.

Saringyim Village council also gave away Rs 5,000 each to the successful students.

Meanwhile, the Khulazu Basa Students' Union (KBSU) in collaboration with the village leaders and the Government High School organised a thanksgiving programme for the recently passed out High School Leaving Certificate students of GHS Khulazu Basa village in Phek on June 3.

At the GHS, Khulazu Basa village, a total of nine students appeared for the HSLC examination 2023 and all of them have passed, securing 100% pass percentage the first time since the school upgrade to high school in 2012. Among the nine students (8 female and a male), five of them were able to make distinction in various subjects including one subject topper in Environmental Education in Nagaland, informed KBSU on Sunday.

KBSU President Nehuto Rakho congratulated the school and students for the excellent performance in achieving 100% results which, he said, had been just wishful thinking. He lauded the teachers, students and all those involved in creating the record.

The program proceeded with invocation by Head GB, Resamu Rhakho which was followed by self introduction of the successful students. Certificates were presented to the students. Kehuve Chuzho, Pastor Khulazu Basa Baptist Church pronounced the thanksgiving prayer. 

Cusulu Rhakho spoke on behalf of the successful candidates. She thanked the teachers, student body, families and parents for their tireless effort which helped them achieve the milestone.
