GHSS Chozuba hosts Poshan Maah celebration

Winners of the essay writing and spelling bee competition at the first ever Rastriya Poshan Abhiyaan organised in Chozuba sub-division and hosted by the GHSS, Chozuba under the theme, “Adolescent Girls” on September 30.

 

Under the theme, “Adolescent Girls” the Government Higher Secondary School, Chozuba hosted the first ever Rastriya Poshan Abhiyaan (National Nutrition Mission-Celebration of Poshan Maah) organised in Chozuba sub-division on September 30. The four schools - GHS Japan Riba, Greenwood Cottage School, Eastern Christian High School and GHSS Chozuba competed in essay writing and spelling bee competition during the event. 


According to a DIPR report, Kuthoselu Swuro from Greenwood Cottage School was the winner in the spelling bee competition while Venulu Dozo and Khozelu, both from from GHSS Chozuba respectively stood second and third.  In essay writing, Lhuvelu Nyekha and Nuvelu Nyekha, from Eastern Christian School took the top first and second spot respectively, while Nuno Swuro from GHS Japan Riba took the third prize.The winners were given citation and prize money while the participants were also given certificates and gifts.


The one day programme, chaired by Angelo Pfithu, PGT English GHSS Chozuba, was organised in collaboration with Administration, School Education, PHED, RD-BDO, Medical and IPR Chozuba sub- division. Theodare Yanthan, ADC Chozuba was the as Special Guest at the event, which was sponsored by Social Welfare Department, Chozuba.
