Peren, April 10 (MExN): The inaugural programme of Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) cum curtain raiser - School Platinum Jubilee of Government Higher Secondary School, Peren was held on April 8. It was graced by with Deputy Commissioner, Peren & School Managing Board Chairman, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS as special guest.
The Atal Tinkering Lab is a flagship initiative of the Atal Innovation Mission of the Govt. of India under NITI Aayog, established and mentored by Unit of Science & Educational Development (UNISED)-IIT Kanpur in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland.
DC Peren in his inaugural address said GHSS Peren was fortunate to have the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) and the School is doing fine despite the limited infrastructure. He congratulated the school management and administration for taking up the initiative to establish such useful schemes in the school for the benefit of the students. Aier urged the student community and the teachers to make full use of the facilities to become future innovators and further encouraged them to be more passionate in their quest for knowledge.
Short speeches were delivered by ADC Peren, Dy. Mission Director Samagra Siksha and ADEO Peren, while unveiling of Jubilee logo was done by ADC Peren, Keyirangding Hegui.
Earlier, the special guest inaugurated and inspected the laboratory room, followed by the dedicatory prayer pronounced by Peren Town Baptist Church Pastor, Haiku Nza.
