Botsa, March 14 (MExN): Government Middle School, Botsa annual sports meet commenced at Botsa Local Ground with Kevizenuo Savino SDEO Chiephobozou as the special guest for the inaugural programme.
Addressing the three day meet, she highlighted the importance of games and sports while citing that education is an all-round development. She encouraged the students to actively participate in the sports activities as it helps to enhance their mental and physical abilities and also prepares them to face life's challenges.
The programme was compered by Khovelu Naro while Class A & B gave a special presentation and Seyievinuo and Neisinuo of Class 8 presented a special song. The programme also witnessed a remarkable Physical Exercise Drill presented by the students of Class 1 to 8.
The oath taking was led by Ruovilie Zumu while Viletuo-ü Sanchu proposed the vote of thanks. The three day annual sports meet from March 14-16 was declared opened by the Special Guest, Kevizenuo Savino, SDEO Chiephobozou.
Among those who attended the event included the School Management Committee Chairman, Kechangulie Kense along with the members. Naga Wrestling is one of the disciplines of the annual sports meet.
