Dimapur, January 30 (MExN): The Gorkha Mothers Union, Dimapur Town unit was formed today, January 30 at Rana Colony, Dimapur under the active guidance and initiative of Gorkha Youth Club Dimapur.
The meeting was chaired by president, Shibu Kumar BK, and anchored by Roshen Biswakarma, general secretary, Gorkha Youth Club Dimapur.
The meeting was also attended by Kumar Subba, chairman of Dimapur Gorkha Union who stressed upon the importance of Mother’s Union and role of mothers in the society for better living.
Sanjay Pandey, finance secretary of DGU and other officials from Gorkha Youth Club Dimapur also spoke in the meeting. The meeting was attended by women folk from different parts of Dimapur town. The newly formed team of Gorkha Mothers’ Union, Dimapur town unit are as follows - Dr. Ranjana Chetry as president, Laxmi Rana as vice president, Gayatri Devi as general secretary, Sandhya Thakuri as joint secretary, Parboti Dhakal as finance secretary, Neera Serpali as cultural secretary and Chumi Sonar as welfare secretary. This has been informed here in a press note issued by Sanjay Pandey, finance secretary, Dimapur Gorkha Union.
