Gov calls for curbing plastic usage

DIMAPUR, JUNE 4 (MExN): Nagaland State Governor, PB Acharya has called on the people of the state to take care of the Earth, to rededicate the commitment towards preservation and protection of the environment and to create a plastic free Nagaland.  

In a message to commemorate World Environment Day, the Governor today called upon citizens to come together and combat “one of the greatest environmental challenges: curbing plastic usage.”  

He urged all government departments and agencies, educational institutions, nature lovers, industrialists, corporate leaders, traders, NGOs to come forward and spread awareness about plastic pollution and its prevention.  

“Environment might be one of the most important treasures we have and we must all play our role in preserving it,” he added.
