Gov calls on young people to give back to society

Kohima, May 17 (DIPR): The Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya has commented the Faith Harvest Church, Kohima for adopting Government High School, PWD colony as part of their community social service. He congratulated the youth of the Church in organising a social work in the school premises.  

Governor Acharya stated that such service for the welfare of the society must be appreciated by all and the example should be emulated by other organisations as well.  

The Governor also called on the youth to give back to their society. “It should be your social responsibility to make sure that your society improves on all fields and you should play a role in strengthening it,” the Governor stated. The Governor hoped that Faith Harvest Church will continue the good work for the community. He also appealed to the empowered organisations and persons to come forward to strengthen the community.  

“Our empowered youth should have the drive for development of the society through new and innovative projects. Young people should be game changers,” he stated. Governor Acharya also appealed to all educated ladies who are housewives to come forward and empower the government schools, and add value and strengthen the academic system by taking up one subject like Maths, Science, English etc. as honorary guest teachers, with the permission of the department. This is the need of the hour the Governor said.   Wife of Governor, Kavita Acharya has also adopted the Officer’s Hill Government Middle School in Kohima where she attends classes as an honorary guest teacher.
