
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 29 (MExN):The Governor of Nagaland Nikhil Kumar has expressed appreciation to the people of Nagaland for maintaining peace. In a statement the Governor stated that of late there had been incidents which have caused concern to all sections of society with their potential to disturb normal life. The Governor was happy to see that the people of Dimapur in particular and Nagaland in general have maintained peace and calm even during difficult times.
In the wake of the 31st August and 1st September 2012 incidents in Kohima and Dimapur the Governor had made an appeal to maintain peace. He had also mentioned that he has full faith and confidence in the wisdom of the people of Dimapur and the whole of Nagaland.
On the issue of Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union (NCSU) the Governor had made a similar appeal to call off the third phase of its agitation. “In both these instances His Excellency is happy to see the maturity and patience displayed by all concerned. He would like to convey his thanks to all concerned for their response and willingness to take constructive measures in the larger interests of Naga Society”, stated the message from the Governor.
