Kohima, November 28 (MExN): Nagaland Governor PB Acharya has expressed grief at the sudden demise of Brig (Retd) K.K. Roy Choudhury, SM, VSM, Director, Rajya Sainik Board on November 28.
Late Brig (Retd) K.K. Roy Choudhury, SM, VSM retired as the Commandant, NCC Officers Training Academy, Gwalior on November 30 and served as the Director, Rajya Sainik Board with effect from March 25, 2015 till date.
In a condolence message, Acharya described late Choudhury as a “great soldier” and a “vibrant human being”.
“He was the Director for Ex-Servicemen of our State and as the President of Rajya Sainik Board, I had opportunities to associate with him and initiated various welfare schemes for the ex-Servicemen in the State. I personally have lost a Captain who cared for every ex-serviceman,” Acharya stated and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
