Kohima, August 6 (MExN): Nagaland Governor RN Ravi on Friday greeted the Khiamniungan community and the people of the State on the occasion of Biam festival.
“The celebration of Biam, the beautiful festival is thanks giving to God for a bountiful harvest,” the Governor stated in his message.
“Traditional rituals performed during the festival reflect the harmonious coexistence of the community with the environment,” the Governor said while urging the community and especially the youths to imbibe and carry forward the cultural values of the festival.
He also reminded to observe COVID-19 protocols during the celebrations and wished good health, peace and prosperity.
