Governor forms Rehabilitation Committee

DIMAPUR, SEPT 22 (MExN): With the view to effectively implement the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Revised Scheme for Surrendered-cum-Rehabilitation of Militants in the North-East, the Governor of Nagaland has constituted a six member Committee with Commissioner, Nagaland as Chairman. 

According to an official news bulletin, the Committee will suggest the measures for effective implementation of the Revised Scheme taking into consideration the ground situation. Besides, any modification of the Scheme if considered necessary may also be recommended as per the provision of the Revised Scheme. The Committee has been told to submit their recommendation within 30 days from the date of issue of the government’s notification.

The other members of the Committee include Special Secretary (Home) as Member Secretary, the IG (INT) Nagaland, DIG CRPF, Kohima, IG Assam Rifles (North) and Deputy Commissioner, Kohima as members.
