Governor graces Janjati Shiksha Samiti in Dimapur

Dimapur, July 5 (MExN): Janjati Shiksha Samiti of the 5th Academic Assembly under the theme ‘main role of teachers for successful implementation of NEP-2020’ was held at Kevijau colony, Dimapur on July 5. It was graced by Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan as the chief guest, a DIPR report stated. 

Stating that the New National Education Policy 2023 was considered a watershed moment in India’s educational system, the Governor said, “After 34 years following the same system, significant changes to our education policy were made on July 29, 2020.” 

NEP aims to raise the standard of education in India to a global level where it's  principles determines and nurture the child’s potential, increase the child’s reading and numeracy knowledge, and also improve the child’s creativity and logical thinking. The NEP 2023 intends to make the Indian educational system more inclusive, flexible, and learner-centered, the Governor maintained.

“We must remember that teachers are the pillars of all academic processes. They are envisioned as having the most crucial responsibility of creating a conducive learning environment in the institution and also developing program-specific curricula, effective implementation of teaching-learning and evaluation processes, and developing students as responsible members of society,” he asserted. 

Pankaj Sinha, Organiser Secretary of 5th Academic Assembly said that the organization has been running JSS Skills development activities in Kiphire for the drop out students. Ten students were given Scholarships by Sona Devi Sethi Charitable Trust, Mahabir Sharma & Family, Abhijit Sahu, and Vinay Singh.
