Kohima, October 13 (MExN): Nagaland Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi has extended greetings to the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Dussehra and Durga Puja.
“The festival celebrates the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana. It also celebrates the triumph of Goddess Durga over demon Mahishasura. This beautiful festival is a celebration of victory of truth over falsehood, triumph of the righteous and defeat of evil,” the Governor said in a message on Wednesday.
Calling on the citizens to celebrate the festival observing all the COVID-19 protocols, the Governor expressed hope that the occasion would inspire the people to follow the path of virtue and guide them towards oneness, amity, happiness and prosperity.
