‘Govt agencies should expedite work programmes,’ asserts MP Tokheho

Mokokchung, September 23 (MExN): Mokokchung District Level Co-ordination & Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting was held at ADC Planning Conference Hall, Mokokchung on September 21 in presence of Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha & Chairman, DISHA Tokheho Yepthomi.

A DIPR report stated that in his address, Tokheho asserted that the various centrally sponsored schemes which are being implemented through various Government agencies should expedite the work programmes for socio-economic development of the community. He gave suggestions and guidance to the members present to streamline the implementation procedure and also to coordinate with District Administration on the progress of the centrally sponsored schemes   in order to successfully implement the programmes.  

During the meeting, presentations were delivered by the Mokokchung District Agricultural Officer, District Horticulture Officer, District Project Officer, Land Resources, Asst. Director, Food & Civil Supplies, Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B), Executive Engineer, PWD (NH), Executive Engineer, Water Resources, Executive Engineer, PHED.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung delivered the welcome address. Ao Senden, led by President, Chubawati Longchar submitted a proposal to the MP for construction of pedestrian footpath bridge at police point at Mokokchung.
