Dimapur, October 12 (MExN): The G.S. road from Zunheboto to Aghunato at Luthsu junction to Lizuto Village via Satami Village has been completely blocked because of landslide and mudslide and the lack of proper and regular maintenance by the Department concerned. A press note issued by one Kahovi Lizutomi stated that the affected public contributed in cash and kind to maintain and construct the road by October 12. “We strongly question as to why the Government and the concerned Department have deliberately failed to maintain this road.”
He also stated that: “It is been learnt that the Government has been allocating regularly the money for the maintenance of the above mentioned road. However, the public of Lizuto, Satami,Nizhevi, Ngozubo, Koiboto, Kitahu, Tizuhu, the entire Asuto Block, Khumishi Block and the surrounding Villages are yet to see the maintenance of the road by the Department concerned.”
