Govt initiative equips 25 youth with appliance repair skills

25 candidates successfully completed a certification programme for AC and Refrigerator Maintenance and Repair course, organised by Pinnacle Skills and sponsored by NSEDM- IDAN, Government of Nagaland.

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 17 (MExN): A certification programme for the first batch of the AC and Refrigerator Maintenance and Repair course, organised by Pinnacle Skills and sponsored by the Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM), IDAN, Government of Nagaland, was held at the Sematila Training Centre on Monday.

According to the organisers, Under Secretary and Project Lead, NSEDM PMU, Meripeni Ngullie, attended the programme along with her team.

A total of 25 candidates received certificates after successfully completing the course. Addressing the trainees, Ngullie said the government is committed to equipping local youth with employable skills to promote sustainable livelihoods. She encouraged the newly certified candidates to begin working, earning and building their careers, noting that the sector offers significant employment potential.

As part of the programme, the trainees were also inducted into the service provider platform of Mesterigo, led by Senjanthung I. Khuvung, enabling them to collaborate and access job opportunities.

The organisers said the training initiative reflects the government’s commitment to empowering local youth by equipping them with industry-relevant skills and creating avenues for entrepreneurship.
