
Dimapur, May 4 (MExN): In two separate orders, the Government of Nagaland, has suspended two employees from the Department of Power. Both orders have been signed by Commissioner and Secretary to the Government, L. Kire IFS.
As per an order dated April 24 this year, “a disciplinary proceeding” against Er. Albert Ovung, Sub-Divisional Officer (LMTC), Dimapur under Officer of Superintending Engineer (E), Dimapur is “contemplated for alleged mis-appropriation of government revenue”, stated the order, during his tenure as Sub-Divisional Officer (E) No. – 1, Dimapur.
As per another order dated April 29 this year, “a disciplinary proceeding” against Hekuto, Junior Engineer (Electrical) under Office of Executive Engineer (E), Dimapur, stated the order, “is contemplated”.
The Governor of Nagaland, in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 6 of the Nagaland Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1967, has placed both the above mentioned “under suspension with immediate effect”. The two have also been ordered to remain in Dimapur during the period that the orders remain in force, and they shall not leave Dimapur headquarters without the permission of the Commissioner and Secretary (L. Kire in this case).
