KOHIMA (MExN): Nagaland School Education Minister Imkong L. Imchen today revealed that the State Government was investigating the reported case of the non availability of teachers at the Government Primary School at Huronger village under Kiphire DIS.

Speaking to The Morung Express, the Minister said he had already asked the Director of School Education to investigate into the matter through Kiphire DIS. Imchen said he was totally in the dark about the matter, adding that he came across such case only through the local newspapers.

In fact, the Minister said such situation should not have occurred in the way it did. It may be recalled that the United Sangtam Students Conference (USSC) has brought to the notice of the public that the GPS Huronger has been closed down since August 16 due to the non-availability of teachers.

The USSC had warned authorities that unless minimum of four primary teachers was provided to the said institution by September 26, the Education Department authorities would face severe consequences and for which the USSC should not be blamed under any circumstances.
