Dimapur: The NSCN (I-M) has decided to take its own course of action against the anomalies in the education system of Nagaland. Zutovi G Swu, Secretary, Ministry of Education, GPRN has directed all District Education Officers and DI’s of Schools to submit the names of all the staff in government schools starting from primary to higher secondary classes on or before September 30.
This move is being undertaken in order to check the irregularities, substitution and shortages of teachers, according to Zutovi. All concerned heads of colleges and schools are to furnish detailed information about their institutions to the GPRN. The outfit has stated that it will help deliver justice against malpractices in the Education department.
The NSCN has further stated that it will look into the scam related to the bogus appointment of teachers and take necessary action against erring individuals be it officers or others employed.
