GPRN/NSCN clarifies on Sept 28 Zbto incident

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 29 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN has stated that the incident that occurred in Zunheboto yesterday was very unfortunate. A press note from the MIP informed at around 3:30 pm on September 28, one of its cadre Akato had gone to the house of ino Ikato and Innoli Akheli of Aghulito village presently residing in Amiphoto colony Zunheboto.  “As a regular visitor to their house he often picks up the nine month old child, hold him to his bosom, puts him over his shoulders and play with him.  On that fateful day as usual after greeting the couple when he bend down to pick the child, his handgun which was tucked in his waistband fell down. The gun was half-cocked and so after it hit the floor went off on impact; the bullet went through the child, went through the right palm of the officer and now lodged in his chest. The officer in question is now admitted in a hospital in Dimapur in critical condition with the doctors trying to take out the bullet from his chest”, stated the MIP note.
