
DIMAPUR, JULY 30 (MExN): The Konyak Region, GPRN/NSCN has pointed out that in January 2010, when “Wangtin Naga (recently expelled from NSCN) was the supervisor of CFSB, Konyak Regional workers initiated arms project and through generous and willing contribution of Konyak leaders and general Konyak public, procured 120 arms and another 10 came from S.S Khaplang’s side”.
Arms Committee consisting three officials was formed namely; Brig. Nyamlang, Brig. Kossam, and Region Vice President Mr. Manwan Konyak were chosen to ensure the safety and security of the arms, stated a press note issued by ten members belonging to GPRN/NSCN Konyak region.
In this connection, the signatory senior leaders of Konyak region informed that no individual or party should transport even a single firearm outside Konyak Region and that any misuse of Konyak region property within or outside for anti-national activity will not be tolerated as they belongs to the Konyak people.
