
Dimapur, May 1 (MExN): The “GPRN/NSCN” today informed to have held a meeting April 29 with Rengma civil society at the outfit’s Khehoi designated camp “to dispel all rumors, confusions and propaganda created by the enemies of the Naga people to keep the Nagas divided on communal lines.” The outfit’s Rengma region in a press note said the “GPRN/NSCN” led by its kilo kilonser Azheto Chophi met with representatives from the Rengma Hoho, Rengma Mothers’ Association and Rengma Students’ Union, GBs, village council chairmen, VDB associations and elders of Rengma region.
“The meeting sought to dispel all rumors, confusions and propaganda created by the enemies of the Naga people to keep the Nagas divided on communal lines” said the region’s “RAO” in the press note. According to it “the basic principles and the motto behind the coming together” of “national workers from erstwhile K and IM” was laid before the representatives “of entire Rengma people.”
The Rengma Hoho and civil leaders shared their desire to see the Nagas as one family and that the process of ‘Naga unification’ “must be supported by one and all because violence and bloodshed in the Naga family must stop immediately”. The note said the “representatives also pledged to fully support the ongoing Naga unification process which will pave the way for early solution to the Indo-Naga political imbroglio”. The “GPRN/NSCN” has expressed gratitude to all Rengma frontal organizations “for their correct political judgment” and “hoped that the masses would be informed of the ground reality and proposed to jointly pursue political right of the Nagas through reconciliation and unity.”
