
Dimapur, January 26 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN has expressed grief over the untimely demise of Colonel Shehuto Wotsa of Khutovi village, Union Territory Region, on January 14, after prolong illness and treatment.
A condolence note from the MIP, GPRN/NSCN informed that the late Col Shehuto enrolled in the Naga national service on June 16, 1994 and “served the nation for 29 years wholeheartedly with full commitment and doubtless patriotism for the cause of the Naga National movement till his last breath.”
He was further lauded for his exemplary personality and his determination and steadfast dedication all throughout his service for the Naga nation.
The GPRN and its Naga Army are grateful and honoured to have had a compatriot of his stature with elegant integrity and gives highest respect and salute to the late Col Shehuto, it said.
In his demise the Naga nation have loss one of the most dedicated and admired officer but his service records and dedication shall ever be cherished and treasured in the pages of Naga history, it added.
The GPRN/NSCN further conveyed sympathies to the bereaved family members and prayed that the Almighty to grant solace and comfort them. “May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.”
