Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): In a significant development, the GPRN/NSCN (Neokpao-Alezo) has declared a “State of Emergency” over all Naga-inhabited areas on “account of the abnormal situation and threats faced by the Government of GPRN/NSCN (Unification).”
The declaration was made under the 'Yezabo,' Article 21, Clause G, and a resolution regarding the same was passed during a High-Level Meeting held on April 23, stated a ‘Directive Order’ issued by the GPRN/NSCN (Neokpao-Alezo) President, General (Retired) MB Neokpao Konyak.
In this connection, it directed “all Naga Army personnel on sick/casual leave to report to their respective Unit Commanders immediately” and asked all unit commands across Naga-inhabited areas to be “on high alert.”
“Regional Authorities under their respective RAOs of all Regions across Naga-inhabited areas are also directed to be vigilant and remain on high alert,” the order stated.
This order comes into immediate effect until further notice, it added.
