GPRN/NSCN praise Sonia’s recognition on Naga struggle

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 8 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN has issued a statement extending its “immense gratitude” to Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson, United Progressive Alliance (UPA) and AICC President, for due recognition given to the Naga issue as a political one”. “Many Indian leaders have termed the Naga national struggle as insurgency, militancy or law and justice problems that need to be tackled with the same. But her clear classification of our struggle as being a vast pending political issue and which would be pursued with sincerity and consistency that would be honourable and acceptable to all and would be achieved shortly during her speech on the 7th of January, 2012 at DDSC complex, Dimapur is encouraging and heart-warming”, stated the press note issued by the MIP, GPRN/NSCN from its Designated Camp Khehoi. The GPRN/NSCN also pointed out that it was its “aspiration and hope that this affirmation will not be mere election campaign propaganda but to be continued with sincerity in action”.
