Dimapur, September 30 (MExN): Regional authorities of the GPRN/NSCN recently reaffirmed their ‘unflinching support’ to the collective leadership of Chairman Gen (Retd) MB Neokpao Konyak and General Secretary, N Kitovi Zhimomi stating that the Naga people’s desire for durable peace and tranquility would be accomplished under their leadership.
A ‘declaration’ to this effect was made during a general meeting of all the Regional Authorities from Regions, UTs, Sub-Regions and Affairs under the aegis of the Kilo (Home) Ministry, at the Council Headquarters (CHQ), Naga Unification Camp, Khehoyi on September 28, a press release informed on Friday.
According to the release, the gathering also reiterated its optimism that the ‘Agreed Position’ of the Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) with the Government of India (GoI) would bring about ‘timely’ honorable, acceptable and comprehensive Indo-Naga political solution.
“Meanwhile, the House also goes on record that, Naga people are actually agitated due to the inconclusive talks with the GoI and overdue political solution,” stated the release issued through the GPRN/NSCN Ministry of Information and Publicity.
