GPRN/NSCN to urge GoI to announce date for signing agreement

Dimapur, October 27 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN in its joint council meeting on October 26 at Council Headquarter (CHQ), Khehoi Designated camp resolved to urge the Government of India (GoI) under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to announce the date for signing of Indo-Naga political agreement without any delay.

“The unprecedented and overwhelming will and desire of the Naga tribes and public for Naga solution is clear to entire world,” it said in a press release issued by its MIP.

The release also informed of the other resolutions adopted by the members of the House.

It acknowledged the NTC, CNTC, NGBF, 14 Tribes and all Naga Civil societies for bringing different Naga political groups under the platform of Working Committee and facilitating the signing of 'Agreed Position' on November 17, 2017.

The House also resolved to extend ‘unflinching support’ to WC, NNPGs in its endeavour to fulfil the political aspiration of the Naga people.

The Council unanimously endorsed the GPRN/NSCN Collective Leadership to continue strengthening the WC, NNPGs till the GoI and Nagas sign the negotiated political agreement as per the 'Agreed Position' and subsequent Naga tribes-endorsed status paper, the release added.
