DIMAPUR, MAY 6 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN (U) has refuted reports going viral on all social media platforms about a meeting of members of GB’s association including its constituent frontal organizations within Aghunaqa Area, under Niuland district, convened by the GPRN/NSCN (U) on May 10 at Kukami Hohoki, Aghunaqa HQ, at 10:00 am.
The GPRN/NSCN (U) in a press release said that “the word ‘unification’ has nothing to do or has no relevance with N Kitovi Zhimomi whatsoever, on the very day when he disowned the very word ‘unification’ from the vocabulary of the Naga Revolutionary Movement that has been recorded deep inside the tapestry of Naga history, as on many occasions he clearly stated that since many factions sprung out from the Unification.” It further stated that “he ignored his own responsibility for all these outcomes, and also stated that he would rather prefer to christen his faction as the GPRN/NSCN (Kitovi-Mhathang).”
“It is, definitely clear that the Naga people must not keep themselves under confusion despite of Kitovi’s own confession and rejection of the foundation where he actually stands on,” it added.
It appealed both the Naga people and the Government of India not to “confuse between the GPRN/NSCN, Naga Unification, led by Its President, MB Neokpao Konyak and Ato Kilonser, Alezo Venuh to that of the GPRN/NSCN (Kitovi-Mhathang).”
