Changtongya, October 22 (DIPR): Government Primary School, Changtongya 'B' celebrated its Golden Jubilee (1967-2017) on October 19 at the school campus with ADC, Longleng, Temsuwati as the chief guest.
Speaking at the programme, Temsuwati expressed gratitude to the organizing committee for giving him the privilege to be the chief guest. Calling on the teachers to impart quality education with innovative ideas, he challenged the teachers to give the students a good foundation for their future career. Mold the students to become responsible citizen in the society he said, maintaining that they need constant care and guidance at this stage. He also appealed the W.E.C to play an important role in the day to day functioning of the school, to make the school better. The chief guest later released the Golden Jubilee Souvenir.
SDO (C), Changtongya, Chumlamo Humtsoe, Chairman of PWD Ward, Medical Ward and Church Ward also exhorted the gathering at the programme.
P/T, R. Anungla Aier chaired the programme. Teacher Incharge, GPS, CTN 'B', Lanumeren Longkumer and Convenor of the Golden Jubilee Planning Cum Fund Raising Committee, T. Ali Longkumer delivered the welcome note and vote of thanks respectively. W.E.C Member, T. Anungla said the invocation prayer.
Students of GPS, CTN 'B', presented the opening choreography. Students from GMS, Longchara, presented a special song, while students of GMS, CTN 'A', presented an act in the programme .
