Wokha, January 11 (MExN): The day one of the Tungu, Ennio and Kinghen (TEK) Union Convention was conducted at Libemo Memorial School, Wokha on the theme "Growth is the fruit of Unity and Brotherhood.”
A press release from TEK Union President P Nzanbemo Tungu and Secretary Nlongtsu Tungu stated that Thungjanbemo Tungu, SDO Civil Mokochung was the special invitee.
The speaker exhorted the gathering to share common interests helping each other in of need and enjoy the fruits of the relationship we had between brothers since time immemorial.
He quoted bible passage where David draws our attention to something good and pleasant– unity among the people of God. “When a tree has no root it falls down. And likewise division among brothers can easily bring its downfall,” the speaker noted.
The chairperson of the evening was N Nzanbemo Tungu, chairman TEK Sanrhyu 2019.
Nyamo Tungu, Ex pastor Wokha village invoked God's presence while the TEK Opvuoyo Khumshum Wokha town presented special number. David Kinghen of Wokha town also exhorted the gathering and the benediction was delivered by senior member Wochumo Kinghen of Wokha town.
The day two started with a general meeting of the three clans where new office bearers for the tenure 2019 to 2022 were also selected. Later in the last service P Nzanbemo Tungu Chairman TEK union (central) chaired the programme. Mhomo Tungu SDO civil Zubza exhorted the gathering. Vote of thanks was delivered by Santsubomo Ennio Chairman, Ennio Union Wokha.
