Dimapur, July 3 (MExN): To celebrate the GST Day on July 1, the Central Goods and Services Tax Department (CGST) sponsored an art competition at Grace Academy, Burma Camp. The competition saw participation of students from grades 3 to 7.

The competition held on the theme ‘Behind the Scenes’, encouraged the students to depict the unseen processes involved in the delivery of everyday goods and services, a press release from the Grace Academy stated.

Students were divided into two categories. The first, second, and third prizes for each category were awarded Rs 5000, Rs 3000, and Rs 2000 respectively. The prizes were presented by Sashi Wapang, Additional Commissioner, CGST.

“CGST’s sponsorship of this competition underlines its commitment to education and creative expression among students. By supporting this initiative, CGST has helped enhance students' understanding of the complex, yet fascinating processes that go into delivering the goods and services we use every day,” the academy stated.
