Resource persons and organizers during the Hakchang Citizens’ Union Golden Jubilee celebration and Hakchang Students' Union 2nd Triennial Session held from December 27-29.
HAKCHANG, JANUARY 2 (MExN): On the occasion of Hakchang Citizens’ Union Golden Jubilee celebration and Hakchang Students' Union 2nd Triennial Session held from December 27-29, 2024, a workshop on "Holistic and critical approach towards Drug abuse and illicit trafficking" was organized in collaboration with Tuensang District Legal Service Authority on December 29 last at Hakchang Baptist Church.
Resource persons include Advocate Imti Mangyang, UBSI - DEF Tuensang Yongkong Toshi and Alemba H, Executive - Nagaland Users Network.
The topics covered were "NDPS (Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substance) Act 1985" which was addressed by Advocate Imti Mangyang while Yongkong Toshi UBSI highlighted on "Drug abuse & Illicit trafficking" and Alemba H from Nagaland User Network shared about "Consequences & Recovery" from his personal experiences.
The Hakchang Village on account of Golden Jubilee and 2nd Triennial Session declared the village as "Drug Free Zone" and took Pledge during the workshop with joint signatories for extensive remedial measures for this initiative by village representatives viz. A B Sadang - Village Council Chairman, C Yonga - Citizen's Union President, O Nato - Students Union President, Rev. B Sangbou - Pastor Hakchang Baptist Church and L Nyemteng - Women's Organisation President.
