Kohima, November 12 (MExN): Don Bosco College Kohima conducted a half marathon at its college ground. Chief guest on the occasion, Azenuo PienyÜ, Project Director, DRDA, Kiphire, flagged off the half marathon with the theme “Run for Unity”. The “little champion”, Khriebeituo clocked 1 hour and 21 minutes to emerge as the winner in the boy’s category. Ngurhotho S Poji and Sedevilie Kire came 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the girl’s category, Ajano Haihing clocked 2 hours and 15 minutes to emerge champion. Morevine Krocha and Akha Losa Krichena were placed 2nd and 3rd respectively. The route for the half marathon was: DBCK to Billy Graham Road, High School Junction to Meriema Junction and back to Don Bosco College Kohima – a distance measuring 21 kms. 250 students participated in the event, and out of this, 110 students completed the race successfully.
