A press release from the Media & Communications Secretary informed that the India Edition aspires to strive towards the same vision by bringing artists and cultural ambassadors from different regions and corners of the country under the Handshake umbrella and not only promote the performers and our more than 3000 year old heritage but also contribute towards understanding, mutual appreciation and unity. A team of artists, officials and technical organisers have arrived in Bengaluru led by the President of the Society, Theja Meru, who is himself a renowned musician, activist-promoter and a recipient of the Governor's Award. Air Asia is the travel partner of the event and Rolling Stones is the official magazine partner. Other sponsors include Myntra.com, Rapsri and Royal Enfeild.
