Harmonic Surge 2: A celebration of Choral music

Morung Express News   An amazing line-up of choirs from Nagaland demonstrated not only their mastery but also their passion and joy for choral singing at the second edition of Harmonic Surge 2: A Choral Fiesta. Gathering under the theme, “The Friendship Concert”, established choirs like UBC Sanctuary Choir, Nagaland Singing Ambassadors, The Nagaland Chamber Choir, and Voices of Hope led by Nise Meruno performHarmonic Surge 2ed this evening at Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church. The show was also brought to life with special performances by Asin Shurhozelie, Mhathung Odyuo, and Noel de la Rosa.       Organised by The Nagaland Chamber Choir, the event is an inclusive Choral festival held bi-annually. It also seeks to promote Church music and impart excellence in music, Harmonic Surge hopes to encourage interaction and unity among Churches/Groups, and thereby, provide a platform for exhibiting talent for sustained ministry.   On October 16th, Harmonic Surge will host a Choral Competition: Children’s Choir Competition and Mixed Choir Competition. The next event, “Harmonic Surge 3” is scheduled for 2018.
