Dimapur, August 4 (MExN): The headmaster of Government High School of Yangphi in Kiphire today refuted a news report that alluded to his being absent from duties or being unknown even by the schools faculty. The report was part of a statement given by the United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC), Headmaster CC Humtsoe issued a note today clarifying “the inaccurate statement given against the school’s functioning particularly the HM and the AHM.”
“As of now after my joining the school as its headmaster since Sept.2011 the classes are being conducted normally with my presence almost throughout the month and therefore, no such grievances of not taking the classes regularly are being faced by the school so far,” Humtsoe stated. A students organization paying a visit to the school is always welcome, Humtsoe stated, “however, it is unfortunate that they happen to have visited the school during my brief absence and has collected such distorted information from one or two teachers is disheartening in spite of our tireless effort in making the school to improve its functioning particularly for the local people benefits.”
The headmaster clarified that only two teachers were available during the organization’s visit as the rest of the teaching staff were attending a funeral service of one of the school’s students, a class-VII boy.
The clarification also stated that the school has even managed to construct a class room for class-x students during the current session and only then could continue their normal classes as there were no separate class rooms in the previous years. There are no funds available at the disposal of the headmaster, headmaster Humtsoe stated.
