Health camp benefit villages at Myanmar border

Noklak, May 24 (MExN): The IRCS Noklak Sub-Division Branch and CHC Noklak jointly conducted the health camp at Choklangan village (Myanmar border). The team treated 146 patients and also distributed free medicines on April 14 last.  

The health camp was led by Thsuvisie Phoji ADC and Chairman of IRCS Noklak Sub-Division Branch, Seyiekhrietuo Solo EAC Pathso and Dr. Victor SMO and staffs of CHC Noklak while Sedem VCC and the villagers welcomed the team.  

The IRCS Noklak, Khiamniungan Tribal Council, Longdon Baptist Church also visited the fire victims relief camp at Chiu village on April 16. A total of 24 houses were burnt on June 6, 2017. The relief team donated utensils, blankets, clothes and food items to the affected families.  

Also, IRCS Noklak Sub-Division Branch observed World Red Cross Day at GHSS Noklak on May 8 under the theme ‘Everywhere for everyone smile’.  

The programme was chaired by Lachu Lam Hony. Secretary IRCS, Noklak. The guest speaker was Thsuvisie Phoji ADC and Chairman IRCS Noklak Sub-Division Branch. He spoke on the theme and advised the students and the gathering to take initiative on humanitarian and charity works.
