Mokokchung, May 1 (MExN): State Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Minister, S Pangnyu Phom visited Dr Imkongliba Memorial Civil Hospital Mokokchung on May 1 which at present is converted into COVID-19 Hospital Mokokchung as preparation to combat the pandemic.
A DIPR report stated that the Minister inaugurated and handed over one ambulance, with basic life support level and TRU NAT Kit for screening and testing COVID-19 cases. The Minister had a review meeting at ADC Planning hall with District Task Force COVID-19 including Ao Senden, Watsu Mungdang, AKM and ward representative on the preparedness in the eventuality of possible outbreak of COVID- 19 in the district.
Addressing the meeting Pangnyu stated that to fight COVID-19 pandemic one should be well prepared and contribute ones best to win the fight against the dreaded virus. The Minister called upon all to educate the people especially the ignorant populace and to make them follow strictly the protocol and discipline in fighting the dreaded virus.
Pangnyu was accompanied by Minister Tongpang Ozukum, Housing & Technical, Imnatiba Advisor for Industries & Commerce Labour & Employment, Skill development & Entrepreneurship and B.S. Nganlang MLA.
