Healthy Lifestyle: Anaemia Screening Camp at GMS Noklak

Noklak, September 8 (MExN): The District Health Society under Chief Medical Officer Noklak along with the Integrated Child Development Services conducted anaemia screening camp at Government Middle School, Noklak on September 7.

A DIPR report stated that a total of 150 students were screened for Anaemia. Supplementary Food and IFA Tablets were also distributed to the students during the camp. The Screening camp was conducted by the Medical Officers, Lab.

Technicians, Nurses, and Anganwadi workers of Noklak town under the supervision of Hosea DPM and P Hemping Senior Supervisor, Department of Social Welfare, Noklak.

In the week-long programme, an essay competition on the topic ‘Healthy Lifestyle’ was also conducted at Government High School, Noklak village. CMO Noklak, Dr Victor NC encouraged the students to inculcate healthy practices for a healthy mind and living. Dr Meyachungla gave the health talk on menstrual hygiene and nutrition and welcomed them to the adolescent-friendly clinic for any health-related issues. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners for the essay completion were Thongkoi H Sulim S, and Thym, and two consolation prizes were given to Dongliu and Shongmao. The winners were awarded cash prizes.
