Helpdesk set up in Kohima to facilitate electoral services

Kohima, June 23 (MExN): A District Level Helpdesk has been established in Kohima to facilitate easier access to electoral services and ensure the inclusion of all eligible citizens during the Special Intensive Revision Exercise. The initiative aims to assist electors, particularly persons with disabilities (PwDs), migrants and elderly voters.

According to the State DIPR, the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Kohima, B Henok Buchem, in a notification, stated that the helpdesk has been set up in compliance with the directions of the Election Commission of India. 

Shurhotuonuo, LDA-cum-Computer Assistant at the District Election Office, Kohima, has been designated as the official in charge of the Helpdesk and can be contacted at 8794607805 for assistance. 

Electors may also avail electoral-related assistance through the Election Commission of India’s helpline number 1950, the notification stated.
