
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 2 (MExN): The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) has announced that Hem Chetri and Neizekho Rupreo have been honored with the MA Chidambaram Trophy for their exceptional performances in the Col C.K. Nayudu Trophy (U-23) – Plate Group.
Chetri has been recognized as the highest run-scorer of the tournament, amassing an impressive 521 runs at an average of 43.4. His tally includes two centuries and two half-centuries, showcasing his consistency and ability to anchor innings in varying conditions. His performances have proven instrumental in Nagaland’s success in the tournament.
Rupreo, meanwhile, has been celebrated for his remarkable bowling performance, finishing as the highest wicket-taker with 47 wickets in just seven matches. This includes six five-wicket hauls, demonstrating his match-winning potential as a frontline bowler.
The NCA extends its congratulations to both players and reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing talent and promoting cricket in the region.
