Mokokchung, October 2 (MExN): In a bid to take the local writers and their books to the readers in Mokokchung district, Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur has entered a partnership with the Eastern Book Depot (ABAM) where an exclusive shelf will exhibit the array of books published by the publishing house.
The Heritage Publishing shelf at the Book Depot, a press release informed, was formally dedicated by the General Secretary of Ongpangkong Mungdang, Aso Imsong, who is also a well-known writer in Mokokchung town. Aso Imsong, while dedicating the books and the new partnership between Heritage Publishing House and Eastern Book Depot, expressed happiness that all books published by Heritage and the works of the local writers will now be available at Mokokchung town. He also encouraged all the interested readers to buy the books so as to encourage the local writers and also to enrich their intellect through the works of the Naga writers.
Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur was established in 2008 by Dr. Asangla Tzudir and over the years, the Publishing House has published a variety of books, starting from serious academic works by well-known Naga scholars, short stories books, poems etc.
Representative from Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur, Longrangty Longchar, while speaking at the dedication programme, expressed deep appreciation to the manager of Eastern Book Depot, ABAM for taking the initiative to sell the books at the bookstore. He expressed hope that the interested readers, especially the scholars at Nagaland University, Lumami, Clark Theological College, and other colleges would avail the books and read them.
Manager of Eastern Book Depot, ABAM, Tiawapang Longkumer also expressed happiness at the new partnership and said that it would go a long way in promoting the local writers and also generate revenue for the Ao Baptist Church Council (ABAM).
