Kohima, November 6 (DIPR): The High School Ward Adoption Committee under Kohima DPDB organized High School Ward Get Together and Sports Meet for all the six colonies under High School ward at High School ground on November 5 with Parliamentary Secretary for Youth Resources & Sports, Lotteries, MTF and Kohima DPDB Chairman, Khriehu Liezietsu as the chief guest. Khriehu Liezietsu thanked all the Ward Adoption Committee members for their contributions and commitment towards the improvement and uplift of the ward people. He hoped that the general public of the ward had greatly benefited from all the hard works and good innovations ranging from cleanliness drive to free health camp undertaken by the Adoption Committee. He also lauded the citizens of the ward for their mass support and participation. Stating that the High School ward along with other urban sectors of the area have been a priority for development, Khriehu said that initiatives have been taken over the last few years to bring about development and progress in the area. On the selection of Kohima for the Smart City project, Khriehu said that it was a good opportunity to develop the city and called upon the general public to change the mindset for development and to take extra steps to make the project a reality. Sharing on the State Government taking intensive steps to prepare the Electoral Roll in accordance with the Nagaland Municipality Act, he also urged all the colony/ward leaders and citizens to cooperate and participate in the exercise to bring out clean E-Roll for the ward and bring clean election. Regarding the Kohima municipal election, he called upon the citizens of the ward to give their best and choose the right candidate for the ward, which is the Ward No-1 in Kohima Municipality and set an example as the best No.1 Ward for others to follow and emulate. The Convenor of the Ward Adoption Committee, SDO (C) Sadar, Kethosituo Sekhose thanked Parliamentary Secretary Khriehu Liezietsu for his guidance and support in all the Ward Adoption activities and hoped that his support will continue in the coming days. He also shared some observation during the activities throughout the year and pointed out that the colonies were forthcoming in all the activities and responded well. He hoped for more unity and understanding towards various developments in days to come. DPO, Land Resources and Member Secretary of the Ward Adoption, Dr. Menuosietuo Tseikha shared about the Ward Adoption under DPDB Kohima. He also highlighted various activities carried out in the ward by the Adoption Committee throughout the year. In the sports meet, the final volleyball match was played between Zienuobadze and Peraciezie, with Zienuobadze colony emerging as the champion. The women played tug of war with final match played between Sepfüzou and Perizie. Sepfüzou colony won the match.
