
Highland Hall School student and authority with team from District tobacco control cell Dimapur during the tobacco awareness campaign on March 6.
Dimapur, March 7 (MExN): The Highland Hall School authority has agreed to declare the school tobacco free. A team from District tobacco control cell (DTCC) Dimapur conducted tobacco awareness campaign in Highland Hall School, Naga united village on March 6. Kezhaleno Phira, Principal of the school chaired the function and Dr. C Tetseo gave power point presentation.
It may be noted that there is some guidelines to declare educational institutions tobacco free such as such as display of tobacco free signboard, display of section 6 (b) of COTPA, prohibition of tobacco products by teachers and students in the school premises and a tobacco control committee is to be in place.
Dr. C Tetseo encourages other schools in Dimapur district to come forward on this issue as shown by Highland Hall School.
