DIMAPUR, JUNE 26 (MExN): Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Dimapur organised a two-day Skills Development Workshop for students of Classes XI and XII on June 25 and 26 at the school auditorium.
A press release from the school informed that the workshop aimed to equip students with practical, market-relevant skills that foster creativity while creating opportunities for self-employment and income generation.
Around 835 students participated in the programme, with Class XII students attending on the first day and Class XI students on the second. The workshop featured hands-on sessions on crochet, amigurumi making, traditional and contemporary jewellery making using beads, basket weaving and pipe cleaner flower crafting.

The programme was conducted with the support of three teachers from the school, nearly 30 student volunteers and three resource persons—Hantsula, Atono Kera and Gaihuna—from Sisterhood Network, a non-profit organisation that works to empower women, children and marginalised communities through creative activities and enterprise development.
The inaugural programme included a prayer service, a special song and an address by the Principal, who encouraged students to embrace lifelong learning and remain open to new opportunities.
