‘Homoeopathy as an option to life style disorders’

Resource persons and practitioners of Homoeopathy at the two-day National Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programme on ‘Scope of Homoeopathy in the life style disorders’ which was held on February 21 and 22 in Dimapur.
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 25 (MExN): Clinical Research Unit for Homoeopathy, Dimapur under the aegis of the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India organised a two-day National Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programme on ‘Scope of Homoeopathy in the life style disorders’ on February 21 and 22.The programme was held at the Tourist Lodge conference hall, Dimapur, Nagaland.
The programme was inaugurated by guest of honour, Dr K Vikato Kinimi, Joint Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima, a press statement issued by Dr. Prabin Kumar Shaw, Research Officer (H)/S-1, Officer-in-Charge, Clinical Research Unit for Homoeopathy, Dimapur stated.
In his speech, Dr K Vikato Kinimi highlighted that the two days event aims to enlighten the masses on scope of Homoeopathy in the life style disorders and also dwelt on the importance of CME in Dimapur.
Chief Guest, Dr Pangjung Sangtam CMO, Dimapur District Hospital, Dr Antoli Swu, Deputy CMO of District Hospital Dimapur also addressed the event. Dr P Srinivas, officer in-charge, RARC Dimapur was present as a guest. The inaugural session was followed by the scientific sessions.
Eminent resource persons include Dr Raj Pal , Scientist-4,CCRH, Dr Abhijeet Chattopadhyay, Prof. NIH, Kolkata, Dr Himangsu Hait, Prof & HoD, Practice of Medicine, CHMC& H, Kolkata, Dr Austin Jose, RMO, NIH, Kolkata, Dr Nokchur Imchen, CIHSR, Dimapur, Dr T Bendangtula, Assistant Director, AYUSH, Directorate of H & FW, Kohima, Dr C Tetseo, Nodal officer NTCP, Directorate of H & FW, Kohima and Dr Prabin Kumar Shaw R.O(H)/S-1 , CRU(H), Dimapur.
Various topics related to life style disorders like hypertension, diabetes mellitus, smokeless tobacco addiction relevant to Dimapur as well as Nagaland along with the possibilities of probable solution through Homoeopathy were discussed by the resource persons.
An over view of activities & achievements of Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy was delivered by Dr Raj Pal, Scientist-4, CCRH, New Delhi. Many government Homoeopathic physicians from NHM, RBSK, including integrated AYUSH hospital and private practitioners from different parts of Nagaland participated as delegates.
