Kohima, JULY 15 (MExN): Day two of the 2nd Horsepower Challenge again saw a very good response from the public as hundreds filled the Kohima Local ground to witness the Autocross. The Autocross was a huge success with 67 cars registering out of which 36 have been selected for the semifinals to be held tomorrow. Mention may be made that this event is the biggest motor sports event in the north east and has drawn the highest number of participants (Autocross) in the north east and maybe even in the country. Tomorrow 4 National Champions will compete in the Supercross category and 20 renowned National Champions will compete in the autocross final.
A surprising entry from one of our very own local taxi driver, one Abdul Kalam will be another highlight of the grand finale. With a 15years driving experience tomorrow he will compete in the 1000cc below category with his own taxi.
