Huvo Vese emerged as the champion of 1st Under 16 wrestling tournament of Phek Area Wrestling Association (PAWA) held today at Phek Local Ground.
Son of Huposayi Vese of Lozaphuhu village, Huvo pocketed a cash prize of 20,000.
Kuveluto Rhakho, son of Zachikhuyi Rhakho of Kutsapo village and Johi Rhakho, son of Vechineyi Rhakho of Phek village stood second and third position and walked away with a cash prize of Rs. 15,000 and 10,000 respectively.
Thenuveyi Vero of Cepoketa village will join the 3 winners in the forthcoming 1st edition of Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) Under 16 championship at Phek Town on 19 February next.
Meanwhile, 12 senior wrestlers will represent PAWA in the forthcoming 28th wrestling tournament of CWA at Phek town on 18 February next. Vekuzo Vezuh, Serayi, Kuluveto Rhakho, Basayi Keyho, Vekutho Soho, Surhovoyi Nienu, Raku Rhakho, Kewecholo Akami, Beduhu Khamo, Kuchohu Curha, Kuluvezo Soho and Kutu Lohe.
