Medziphema, June 21 (MExN): ICAR–National Research Centre on Mithun (ICAR-NRCM), Medziphema organised a live webcast of the release of the 23rd instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme by the Prime Minister of India on June 20.
According to a media brief, the programme was attended by members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), farmers and other stakeholders.
Director of ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Dr Girish Patil, briefed participants on the benefits of the PM-KISAN scheme and various flagship programmes of the Central Government aimed at improving farmers' livelihoods and promoting rural development.
Participants also watched the Prime Minister's live address and were informed about government initiatives for the welfare of farmers and rural communities, the release stated.
