ICFAI celebrates Innovation Day with poster competition

Dimapur, October 14 (MExN): As a part of Innovation Day celebration, the Department of Computer Science, ICFAI University Nagaland under Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) IUN organized a poster competition on the theme ‘Innovation’ with sub-themes on ‘Technology, Agriculture and Energy Conservation.’

In the welcome address Professor CP Alexander, Vice Chancellor, ICFAI University, Nagaland, highlighted that Innovation Day was going to be celebrated as a national activity under the guideline of MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC), Government of India.

It is celebrated to remember former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary. He also said that ICFAI University Nagaland was the only institution in Nagaland to have IIC.

President of IIC, Rupanka Bhuyan, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, IUN also mentioned that more such activities will follow.

The programme was chaired by Dr VT Vasan, Assistant Professor Department of Management, IUN. Coordinator of the competition O Bhopen Singh, Asst Professor and HoD, Department of computer Science informed that a total of twenty students from various department participated in the competition where the first prize went to B Shoan of BA, second prize went to Longtsusang Lkr of BCA and the third prize went to Kiviho Yepthomi of BCA.
